How do I register my child for camp?
You can register online through the registration page or call Evoke at (416) 440-2828. Our team can help you choose the right camp week and complete enrollment by phone.
You may also scroll to the bottom of this page and click on the registration link.
What age is Evoke Camps For?
Evoke’s Toronto Day camp is designed for children ages 5 to 12.
Younger campers are in separate groups from older ones, and activities are well-structured to be age-appropriate for each camper.
What activities to kids do at camp?
Campers enjoy martial arts themed games, outdoor activities, arts and crafts, team challenges, life-skills workshops, confidence-building activities, and age-appropriate fun.
Our camps offer an exciting balance of fun and learning.
What are the camp hours?
Official camp hours are 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Half-day camp options are 9:00AM – 12:00PM or 1:00PM – 4:00PM.
Early drop-off starts at 8:45 AM and complimentary aftercare is available until 5:00 PM.
Please contact us to inquire about availability of extended care outside of these hours.
What should my child bring?
Children should bring a water bottle, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, two snacks, and a packed lunch.
On Fridays, we host a pizza party and special activities. Parents also receive a reminder list of what to pack each day ahead of the camp week.
Who runs the camp?
The camp is run by members of the Evoke Martial Arts & Kickboxing team.
We do not outsource our camp team. Many of them grew up at Evoke, and were once campers themselves.
Our staff are trained in CPR & First Aid, experienced, and passionate about working with children.
Are there girls in your camp?
Evoke camps are not gender dominated; there are as many girls as there are boys.
Coincidentally, a bulk of our staff are females who are also exceptional martial arts instructors.
They are amazing role models for all campers.
Does my child need prior experience
No. Evoke’s camp is beginner-friendly and no prior martial arts – karate, kickboxing, or self-jiu jitsu, etc. – experience is required.
Although many of our activities are themed, the entirety of each camp day is not just martial arts.
Campers are also engaged in outdoor play, life-skills workshops, team games & activities, arts & crafts, and much more.
Is the entire day martial arts?
No. Martial arts is part of the theme, but the camp also includes games, crafts, workshops, outdoor play, teamwork, and social activities.
Having offered martial arts programs for 20+ years, we provide an fun-filled environment where we pack a summers’ worth of excitement into each week of camp.
Are camps week long or per day?
We offer full-day and half-day week long camps. Our camps run during the TDSB March Break and summers (July & August).
We don’t offer prorated or daily camps.
An exception to this are PA day camps during the TDSB academic year.
Do you offer aftercare?
Yes. Complimentary aftercare is available until 5:00 PM. Later pick-up accommodations may incur additional costs. Please call (416) 440-2828 to discuss availability and options.
Can I switch camp weeks?
Week changes may be possible if space is available. Since camp weeks are limited and popular weeks fill quickly, families should call Evoke as early as possible to request changes.
Additional costs may also apply if switching to a popular week, or after early bird rates expire.
Can I cancel after enrolling?
Yes, we understand that plans can change.
However there are No Refunds for cancellations after May 31st (February 18th for March Break). Some camp weeks are really popular, and often book up quickly.
As a courtesy to families, a change of week or camp credit for future use will be offered instead.
Where is the camp located?
Evoke is located in Leaside at 1669 Bayview Ave #200, Toronto, ON M4G 3C1.
We are just a 5 minute walk from the Leaside LRT station at Bayview-Eglinton.
Our camp is held inside the studios of Evoke Martial Arts Academy in Leaside.
